Egyptian drone solutions provider DRONE TECH is expanding the use of unmanned aerial systems across industrial, infrastructure and agricultural applications, with the company positioning drone-as-a-service as a way to support regulated civilian drone operations in Egypt.
Speaking to Defensehere on the sidelines of the El Alamein International Airshow 2026, DRONE TECH CEO Ezzat Sabry said the company is developing a platform to support the management and deployment of low-altitude drone operations across different sectors.
The company provides drone-based services for construction, oil and gas, surveillance, precision agriculture and construction monitoring, using technologies including LiDAR, thermal imaging and multispectral imaging.
Sabry also highlighted the integration of drones with different sensor packages for specialized inspection missions. One of the systems displayed at the exhibition is designed for confined-space operations and can be equipped with thermal, LiDAR and visual inspection capabilities, allowing operators to collect data from areas that can be difficult or hazardous to access.
According to Sabry, combining this data with digital-twin technologies can provide a more detailed digital representation of infrastructure, projects and assets, supporting monitoring and management throughout their lifecycle.
DRONE TECH displayed several systems from international technology partners at the exhibition, including Flyability’s Elios 3, an indoor inspection drone designed for confined and challenging environments.
The company also showcased the Trinity Pro, a fixed-wing eVTOL mapping platform manufactured by the German deep-tech company Quantum Systems, which is capable of flight times of up to 90 minutes, as well as DJI’s Matrice 400 and Matrice 4E platforms.
The company also highlighted technologies from Beyond Vision, including fixed-wing platforms with vertical takeoff and landing capabilities and endurance of more than three hours.
Sabry said DRONE TECH has not yet begun exporting its services, as the company remains relatively young, but it is seeing interest from countries in the region. The company is also discussing potential contracts outside Egypt.
Among the areas being explored are applications related to reconstruction projects in countries affected by the ongoing conflicts in the region, alongside specialized services such as non-destructive testing and carbon-footprint monitoring.
Founded in 2025 and based in Cairo, DRONE TECH provides drone-based mapping, surveying, inspection and digital-twin services for government and private-sector customers. Its portfolio includes 3D modelling, industrial inspection using thermal and LiDAR technologies, and aerial surveying.
Through its partnerships with international drone manufacturers and technology providers, the company is seeking to combine aerial platforms, sensors and data-processing capabilities to support a wider range of industrial and infrastructure applications in Egypt and potentially in regional markets.
