Russia’s Rostec state corporation plans to deliver its Bizon air-target engagement system to the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 in Egypt, the company’s press release informs.
Developed by Rostec’s High-Precision Systems holding, Bizon is designed to protect infrastructure from small, low-altitude aerial targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The system is intended to complement layered air defense networks and can also operate independently.
According to Rostec, Bizon uses PKT machine guns chambered for 7.62 mm ammunition to engage small aerial targets that can be difficult for conventional air defense systems to counter. The system can detect and track UAVs autonomously and provide targeting data to the machine-gun mounts, while the operator makes the final decision to engage.
The system can also interact with external detection systems, receiving information from them while contributing its own data to the overall air picture.
El Alamein International Airshow 2026 will take place at El Alamein International Airport in Egypt from September 8 to 10. Participants include companies across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
