IMDEX Asia 2025, the leading naval and maritime defense event in Asia, will take place from May 6-8, 2025, at the Singapore Changi Exhibition Centre. The event will bring together more than 12,500 attendees from over 70 countries and regions, including over 230 participating companies from 26 countries. This year, the exhibition will focus on technological innovation in maritime defense, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and uncrewed systems.

The event will also feature 56 VIP delegations, including Navy Chiefs, Coast Guard Directors, and Heads of Maritime Law Enforcement Agencies from more than 35 countries. One of the highlights of the event is the International Maritime Security Conference (IMSC), which aims to foster strategic discussions and collaboration in the Asia Pacific region.

In addition to the exhibition, attendees will have the opportunity to tour 17 warships from 13 countries, including notable vessels such as the HMAS Arunta, HMS Spey, and the KRI Bung Karno.

According to Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director of Experia Events Pte Ltd, the organizer of IMDEX Asia 2025, this year's edition will offer valuable insights for stakeholders. "Through platforms like IMDEX Asia, participants can engage in discussions about the rapidly evolving maritime landscape and explore new technologies that are shaping the future of the industry," Lam stated.

Exhibitors and New Technology at IMDEX Asia 2025

The event will feature a wide range of returning exhibitors, including ADSB, Lockheed Martin, MBDA, Rolls-Royce, and Thales, alongside debuting companies like Aeromaritime, Aqualung, and Seaber. A particular emphasis will be placed on exhibitors specializing in AI and uncrewed systems, with companies such as Seadronix, Shield AI, and Planet Labs set to showcase their innovations in these fields.

IMDEX Asia 2025 also highlights the increasing importance of uncrewed systems in naval operations. Exhibitors in this area will demonstrate systems used for surveillance, reconnaissance, and combat missions, offering enhanced endurance and operational reach.

Student Engagement and the Start-Up Launchpad

The event will also feature the third edition of the "What's Next" start-up platform, providing emerging companies a chance to present groundbreaking solutions in material science, AI, and sustainable maritime development. This year, companies like Kookree and MicroSec will showcase their innovations to a global audience of industry leaders and investors.

In addition, the Maritime Campus will return, featuring naval-themed projects from six local universities, including an award-winning human-powered submarine. A Student Ambassador Programme will provide students with opportunities for hands-on engagement with exhibitors, enriching their exposure to the maritime industry.
