L3Harris Technologies and Thales UK have entered into a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop a next-generation short-range air defence (SHORAD) command and control system. The collaboration integrates L3Harris' Target Oriented Tracking System with Thales' Agile C4I at the Edge (ACE) system to enhance the command and control capabilities for SHORAD systems.
This integrated solution aims to improve situational awareness and decision-making for UK forces by delivering rapid, reliable intelligence across the battlespace, thus offering a clearer operational picture.
L3Harris, with its extensive experience in technology solutions for defense, and Thales, known for its expertise in command, control, communications, and intelligence (C4I) systems, bring a combined 80 years of knowledge to the development of this system.
