Poland’s 14th Suwałki Anti-Tank Artillery Regiment has received additional elements of the GLADIUS unmanned reconnaissance-strike system, expanding the unit’s ability to detect and engage targets at extended ranges. The system has been deployed with the regiment since December 2025, according to Poland’s media outlet Polska Zbrojna.
The latest delivery includes Waran 4×4 armored vehicles equipped with launchers for FT-5 and BSP-U unmanned aerial vehicles, Polska Zbrojna reports. GLADIUS combines reconnaissance, command, and strike capabilities within a single architecture, allowing information from reconnaissance assets to be passed through the command system to strike elements.
The system is integrated with WB GROUP’s TOPAZ battle-management system and includes reconnaissance UAVs, strike UAVs, launchers, command vehicles, ammunition vehicles and technical-support vehicles. WB GROUP says GLADIUS is designed to provide a networked “find-identify-strike” chain and has been developed partly using lessons learned from the war in Ukraine.
The delivery comes as GLADIUS is being expanded across the Polish Armed Forces. In May 2026, Poland signed contracts with WB GROUP for 12 battery-level GLADIUS fire units, with deliveries scheduled through 2030.
The 14th Anti-Tank Regiment is part of Poland’s 16th Mechanized Division and is stationed in the Suwałki region, near the Suwałki Gap connecting Poland with the Baltic states.
