H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, officially commissioned the Al Emarat Corvette (P111), a newly developed naval vessel built to the highest international military standards.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony, which marked the induction of the vessel into the UAE Navy’s fleet, was attended by Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, along with Staff Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and Staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence.

The launch of the Al Emarat Corvette reflects the UAE Navy’s ongoing efforts to enhance its defensive capabilities and bolster the protection of national and strategic interests. The vessel’s induction is expected to contribute to strengthening the country’s coastal defense.

The warship incorporates advanced technology, featuring panoramic sensors, an advanced security intelligence unit for efficient data processing, and cutting-edge sensor systems such as radars, electro-optical devices, an electronic warfare suite, and specialized weather systems. These features aim to improve the vessel’s operational efficiency and readiness.
