Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ S.A.), PGZ Stocznia Wojenna (PGZ S.W.), and France’s Naval Group signed an Industrial Cooperation Agreement (ICA) covering naval activities, with a focus on advanced manufacturing for submarines and specialized vessels.
The agreement aims to expand collaboration between the companies and integrate the Polish defense industry into Naval Group’s supply chain. According to the parties, the ICA represents a further step in the strategic relationship between Poland and France, following the Treaty on Enhanced Cooperation and Friendship signed in Nancy on May 9, 2025.
Marie-Laure Bourgeois, Executive Vice President for Sales & Marketing at Naval Group, said:
“We are very honoured to sign this cooperation with PGZ, the main defence industrial group in Poland and a key partner for Naval Group. This agreement illustrates our shared ambition to develop a strong, sovereign and future ready naval industrial base in Poland and to build a long-term industrial cooperation for the benefit of both our countries.”
Jan Grabowski, Vice President of the Management Board of PGZ S.A., commented:
"Naval Group is a global leader in the production of both surface and submarine vessels, including those requiring top-tier skills. The sanctioned Industrial Partnership between the entities will significantly increase the production capacity of the domestic industry while providing appropriately trained resources and technological potential to carry out production tasks for the French partner. It should be added that cooperation in the maritime domain between our entities is another step expanding the significance of the strategic Partnership between France and Poland."
The agreement underscores a growing alignment between the Polish and French defense industries, with an emphasis on long-term cooperation in the naval sector.
