Malaysian navy to utilize HAVELSAN’s combat management system on new corvettes

HAVELSAN's new generation, network-centric Combat Management System-ADVENT, along with the 76 mm Gun Fire Control System, will be utilized in the construction of three new corvettes for the Malaysian Navy.

The signing ceremony for the "Littoral Mission Ship Batch-2" project took place at the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) on June 10, in the presence of Malaysian Defense Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin as part of his official visit to Türkiye.

During the event, Türkiye and Malaysia signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding on Government-to-Government Procurement of Defense Products', and Malaysia formally accepted the 'Letter of Acceptance' for the construction of the three corvettes by STM.

With STM being the prime contractor, these corvettes will incorporate cutting-edge systems from around 50 companies, including ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, and ROKETSAN.

With dimensions of 99.56 meters in length and a displacement of 2,500 tons, the vessels will boast a maximum speed of 26 knots, a helicopter landing platform, and accommodation for a crew of 111 personnel.
