During the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025), held from 20 to 24 May in Malaysia, Damen exhibited scale models of various naval vessels, including patrol ships, coast guard platforms, and larger surface combatants.
Jelle Brantsma, Director at Damen Specialized Vessels, told defensehere.com that the company’s participation focused on promoting its capabilities to international clients. While Damen continues to collaborate with several European navies, he noted that the Asia-Pacific region remains a strategic focus, particularly for mid-sized and modular designs.The models on display represented a cross-section of Damen’s current naval production, covering roles from coastal security to high-end naval missions, and adapted to the needs of different export markets.
