Turkish metal forming company Repkon has signed an agreement with Brazilian defense firm SIATT to support the production of the MANSUP-ER long-range anti-ship missile. The deal, finalized in Sao Paulo, will allow SIATT to incorporate Repkon’s “flowforming” technology into the missile's manufacturing process.

SIATT, which develops precision-guided munitions and other smart weaponry, is currently under contract with the Brazilian Navy to supply MANSUP missiles for its Tamandare-class frigates. The company has also partnered with the UAE-based EDGE Group, which acquired a majority stake in SIATT in 2023.

The extended-range MANSUP-ER missile, a turbofan-powered variant of the original MANSUP, reaches distances of up to 200 kilometers—nearly triple the range of the baseline system. The missile has been co-developed by SIATT and EDGE, and will be operated by both Brazilian and Emirati naval forces.

The agreement with Repkon comes as part of a broader effort to expand the industrial base behind the MANSUP program. Repkon’s proprietary flowforming process, used to produce high-precision, symmetrical, rotary components has applications in ammunition and missile casing production and is considered a niche capability held by only a few firms globally.

Repkon has recently broadened its international footprint through a series of defense-oriented projects and acquisitions. In addition to signing contracts for ammunition production facilities across the United States, Europe, and Asia, the company also acquired the France-based Bowas Group, a long-standing supplier of industrial equipment for explosive and gunpowder manufacturing.

The collaboration is expected to play a role in the serial production of the MANSUP-ER, which is currently undergoing final testing and integration with the Brazilian Navy’s surface fleet.

In a separate development earlier this year, EDGE, SIATT, and the Brazilian Navy formalized the transfer of intellectual property rights related to MANSUP-ER’s launch tube and warhead. The agreement, signed during LAAD 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, outlines production and commercialization rights for the system and marks a key milestone in the trilateral defense partnership.

With a $300 million contract already signed between EDGE and the UAE Armed Forces, and further negotiations underway with potential clients in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, the MANSUP missile family appears set to become a key export asset for both Brazil and the UAE.
