Schiebel secures new multi-year RPAS contract with EMSA

Schiebel has once again been awarded a multi-year service contract by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) for its CAMCOPTER® S-100 Unmanned Air System (UAS). This marks the third consecutive tender win for Schiebel, further cementing its reputation as a trusted partner in maritime surveillance and emission monitoring for EU member states.

The new contract, spanning up to four years—two fixed years with an optional two-year extension—continues Schiebel’s successful partnership with EMSA, which began in 2018. The CAMCOPTER® S-100 has since completed over 1,780 deployment days, supporting operations across Europe, including Croatia, France, Finland, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Romania, Lithuania, Iceland, Germany, and Belgium.

Enhancing Maritime and Emission Monitoring

The CAMCOPTER® S-100 has proven instrumental in executing critical maritime operations, including day and night surveillance, search and rescue missions, oil spill detection, and monitoring ship emissions to ensure compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) sulfur content limits. The S-100 operates both from land and aboard ships, showcasing its adaptability in various maritime environments.

Neil Hunter, Head of Global Sales at Schiebel, expressed his pride in the continued collaboration with EMSA:

"We have been supporting European maritime authorities for almost six years now and are extremely proud to continue our success story with EMSA. It proves once again that the availability and reliability of the S-100 is unrivaled."
