Sarkar Tactical is ramping up its operations in South America, with a growing focus on assembling EOD robots and producing ballistic gear at its Brazil facility. CEO Fabricio Fernandes told defensehere.com that the company isn’t just marketing products, it’s offering tailored protective solutions that reflect real world needs.

With roots in the UK, Sarkar Tactical has grown into a multi-national defense manufacturer. Founded by former British Navy officer Sam Sarkar, the company now operates factories in Glasgow, El Paso, and Brasília. Each site has a distinct role: robotics and surveillance gear in the UK, hard armor in the U.S. and soft armor and vests in Brazil.

One of its latest developments is the Interceptor an EOD robot built for urban and transport environments. Developed with input from Brazilian bomb squads, the robot can enter tight spaces, inspect suspicious vehicles, and relay visual data via eight onboard cameras. Fernandes said more than ten South American agencies have already expressed strong interest in acquiring the system, noting that Sarkar is the first company to assemble such robots locally.

Beyond Brazil, Sarkar Tactical has delivered EOD and demining equipment to clients worldwide, including the UN, Ghana’s Ministry of Defence, Lithuania’s CPMA, Pakistan, and Ukrainian security forces. As Fernandes put it, the company’s mission remains constant: protect lives with the right tools, wherever they’re needed.
