Russia's Rostec hands over new Su-35S fighters to Air Force

Russia’s state-owned defense holding Rostec has announced the delivery of a new batch of Su-35S multirole fighter jets to the Russian Aerospace Forces. The aircraft were produced by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), a subsidiary of Rostec. The number of units delivered was not disclosed.

The Su-35S, classified as a 4++ generation fighter, is designed for air superiority missions as well as precision strikes against ground and naval targets. It is capable of operating at long distances from its base under both favorable and challenging weather conditions, day or night.

Pilots receiving the aircraft reportedly expressed appreciation for the continued support from the manufacturing teams, according to Rostec. The company emphasized that the aircraft had performed consistently in recent combat operations, particularly in terms of maneuverability, avionics, and weapons integration.

According to Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy Director General of Rostec, the Su-35S has demonstrated effective flight and targeting capabilities across the full envelope of altitudes and speeds. He noted that the aircraft supports the use of a wide range of weapons and enables advanced piloting techniques.

The delivery is part of ongoing efforts by the Russian defense industry to maintain production schedules for key platforms. Alongside the Su-35S, Rostec continues manufacturing other aircraft types under state defense orders.
