Rostec delivers additional Su-35S fighters to Russian Army

Rostec’s United Aircraft Corporation has delivered another batch of Su-35S multirole fighter aircraft to the Russian Armed Forces, the company announced Thursday.

The Su-35S, classified as a 4++ generation fighter, is designed to perform a wide range of missions, including escort operations and ground target protection. The Russian Aerospace Forces noted that the aircraft will contribute to ongoing operational needs.

“Rostec’s aviation plants are maintaining a steady production rate under the state defense order. Several Su-35S batches have already been transferred to the military this year, and production of additional aircraft for upcoming deliveries is underway. The Su-35S is equipped with long-range air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles, as well as electronic warfare and defense systems,” said Oleg Yevtushenko, Rostec’s executive director.

According to the manufacturer, the Su-35S incorporates technologies that bridge fourth- and fifth-generation aircraft. Its powerplant, based on new digitally controlled engines with thrust vectoring, enhances maneuverability and overall flight performance.
