At IQDEX 2025 in Baghdad, Rosoboronexport showcased a range of Russian military technologies, placing particular emphasis on the Kornet-EM anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) system. Developed by High-Precision Systems, the Kornet-EM drew attention for its long-range precision, automation features, and adaptability across platforms.

The system was presented in two configurations: vehicle-mounted on a Typhoon-K MRAP and in a man-portable version. The vehicle-mounted version includes dual automated launchers capable of simultaneously engaging two targets. With a maximum range of 10 km and penetration of up to 1,300 mm behind explosive reactive armor, the Kornet-EM is designed for preemptive strikes on armored threats beyond the effective reach of most tank weapons.

Its laser beam–riding guidance resists jamming and enables fire-and-forget operation. The automated target tracking allows operators to switch focus after launch, reducing training time and operator fatigue.

A Rosoboronexport representative provided defensehere.com with an exclusive presentation of the system, highlighting its modular integration potential and operational advantages.

The system attracted significant interest from Iraqi security officials, including the commander of the country’s Special Operations Forces, who personally examined the Kornet-EM during the exhibition.
