RENK Group AG has appointed Dr. Georg von Witzleben as CEO of its Marine & Industry segment, effective September 1, 2025.
Von Witzleben joins RENK from THALES Deutschland, where he most recently served on the Management Board with responsibility for the Secure Communication & Information Systems unit.

His strong leadership skills will be instrumental in helping us develop next-generation technologies to strengthen our market position as a leading provider of mission-critical propulsion systems,” said Dr. Alexander Sagel, CEO of RENK Group AG.
Von Witzleben began his industrial career in 2003 at Airbus Defence & Space. He moved to THALES in 2014, where he held several management roles. He holds a doctorate in history, studied political science, and serves as a lieutenant colonel in the reserve.
Headquartered in Augsburg, Germany, RENK Group AG manufactures propulsion solutions for both military and civilian markets. Its portfolio includes transmissions, power-packs, hybrid propulsion systems, suspension systems, and related technologies. The company reported revenue of €1.14 billion in 2024 and has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since February 2024. It became a member of the MDAX in March 2025.
