Kalashnikov’s SKAT-350M tracks and targets Ukrainian HIMARS (Video)

A video shared by Kalashnikov, shows a SKAT-350M unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) detecting a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system in the Kharkiv region and directing an Iskander tactical missile system toward it. The missile subsequently struck the launcher, according to the footage.

The SKAT-350M reconnaissance drone, produced by Russia’s Kalashnikov Concern, is designed for continuous aerial surveillance, target detection in optical and infrared ranges, and precision guidance of strike systems, including the Iskander missile complex.

Kalashnikov states that the UAV differs from similar systems in its advanced payload, upgraded target-tracking algorithms that simplify operator control, and a reinforced structure suitable for parachute landings. The company has also introduced a new version of the SKAT-350M equipped with a high-definition infrared camera and night-vision module, intended for low-light reconnaissance and observation missions.

Military personnel cited in Russian media described the SKAT-350M as one of the most widely used reconnaissance drones in ongoing operations, deployed along both land and maritime sectors, including the Black Sea area.
