Kalashnikov Group is set to showcase its cutting-edge defense technologies at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference
(IDEX) 2025, scheduled for February 17 to 21 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This highly anticipated event will mark the global debut of several new weapon systems, including advanced rifles and loitering munitions that reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to modernizing military hardware.
Among the highlights at IDEX 2025 will be the
AK-12K and
AK-12SK assault rifles, both chambered in 5.45x39mm. These compact versions of the renowned AK-12 are designed to meet the needs of modern combat, offering enhanced ergonomics and flexibility. The
AK-12K, with its shorter barrel, provides superior mobility, while the
AK-12SK features an even more compact design, ideal for close-quarters battle.
The
AK-15K and
AK-15SK models, which are chambered in 7.62x39mm, will also be presented at the exhibition. These rifles are designed for greater stopping power and are suited for both medium and close-range engagements. With improved operational performance, both models are expected to attract attention for their reliability and efficiency in the modern battlefield.
In addition to these assault rifles, Kalashnikov will also present its new
RPL-7 light machine gun. This 7.62mm belt-fed weapon is designed to engage enemy personnel and lightly armored vehicles. The
RPL-7 offers flexibility with its range of accessories, including optics, night sights, and target designators, enabling a high degree of precision and adaptability in various operational environments. The light machine gun’s ambidextrous design makes it a versatile option for all soldiers.
The
KUB-2-E loitering munition will also be on display for the first time. Developed by Kalashnikov in collaboration with the Izhevsk Unmanned Systems Scientific and Production Association, the KUB-2-E comes in both small-class and medium-class variants. The small-class version targets personnel and unarmored vehicles with high precision, while the medium-class variant can engage enemy troops, UAV launch platforms, and lightly armored vehicles. The
KUB-2-E is equipped with advanced optical-electronic systems for full operator control throughout its flight, and its ability to operate in all weather conditions and under electronic warfare interference sets it apart from previous models.
IDEX 2025 will bring together industry leaders, military personnel, and government officials, providing an opportunity for networking and collaboration in the defense sector.
