Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA) has conducted a live firing exercise of its AS9 Huntsman Self-Propelled Howitzer (SPH) at the Puckapunyal Military Area in Victoria, demonstrating progress in the country’s Protected Mobile Fires program.
Derived from Hanwha’s globally operated K9 Thunder platform, the AS9 Huntsman features enhanced protection systems and an upgraded C4 suite; covering command, control, communications, and computing for improved precision and responsiveness on the modern battlefield.
With domestic production now underway in the Geelong region, HDA continues to collaborate with the Australian Army and Defence Australia to deliver the next generation of self-propelled artillery systems designed for local assembly and support.
