A high-level Embraer delegation completed an official visit to Morocco to evaluate the country’s aerospace supply chain capabilities. This follows a recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Embraer and the Moroccan government to explore potential joint projects.
The assessment focuses on potential collaboration in commercial aviation, defense, and urban air mobility sectors.
Roberto Chaves, Embraer’s Executive Vice-President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain, stated: “Morocco has a fast-emerging aerospace industry, and we’ve identified key suppliers with potential to be integrated into our global supply chain. We believe there are opportunities to bring mutual benefits, both in the short and long term, through innovation and economic growth in both countries.”
Morocco’s aerospace capabilities under consideration include:
- Aerostructures manufacturing
- Precision machining
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Composite materials production
Potential cooperation areas may expand to:
- Technical training programs
- MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) services
- Joint research and technology initiatives
