BAE Systems has been awarded a $188.5 million full-rate production (FRP) contract from the U.S. Marine Corps for 30 Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) 30mm systems, including spares, fielding support, and test equipment. The award is the first under the FRP Lot 5/6 production.
The ACV-30 includes a medium caliber Remote Turret System, procured separately and integrated by the Naval Information Warfare Integration Center Atlantic. The vehicle provides armored mobility for troops and payloads while preserving platform agility and enhancing lethality.
Rebecca McGrane, vice president of Amphibious Programs at BAE Systems, stated:
“The ACV is tested and proven to be incredibly adaptable – it not only swims, but it’s also optimized for ship-to-shore, island-hopping, and advanced land operations. With enhanced direct-fire lethality via the 30mm fully stabilized weapon system, the ACV-30 helps to ensure Marines are ready for any mission, land or sea.”
In parallel, BAE Systems is producing:
- ACV-Personnel (ACV-P) variant: carries 13 combat-loaded Marines + 3 crew;
- ACV-Command (ACV-C): offers workstations for situational awareness;
- ACV-Recovery (ACV-R): currently in test phase, intended for maintenance and repair.
Work on the ACV-30mm contract will be performed in York, PA; Johnstown, PA; and Charleston, SC, through Q3 2026.
