Dassault and Reliance to manufacture Falcon 2000 jets in India

Dassault Aviation has signed a landmark agreement with Reliance Aerostructure Limited (RAL), a subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, to manufacture Falcon 2000 LXS business jets in India. The announcement was made at the Paris Air Show on June 18, 2025.

The jets will be assembled at Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL) in Nagpur, marking the first time Falcon business aircraft will be produced outside France. DRAL will also become the first Center of Excellence (CoE) for Falcon jets beyond French borders, supporting assembly work for the Falcon 6X and 8X models as well.

This initiative positions India among a select group of countries — alongside the United States, France, Canada, and Brazil — capable of manufacturing executive business jets. It also reflects a significant transfer of technology and industrial capability, with full fuselage and wing assembly operations being moved to India. The first “Made in India” Falcon 2000 is expected to take flight by 2028.

Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, said the agreement highlights the company’s commitment to the "Make in India" initiative and cements India’s role in the global aerospace supply chain. Anil D. Ambani, Founder Chairman of Reliance Group, emphasized that the project supports India's vision of self-reliance and will boost the country's position in the international aviation sector.

Established in 2017, DRAL has already delivered over 100 major Falcon 2000 subsections and will now ramp up operations, recruiting several hundred engineers and technicians in the coming years.

The expanded partnership marks a new phase in India’s aerospace manufacturing ambitions, with DRAL set to play a growing role in Dassault Aviation’s global production network.
