Airbus Helicopters has launched HTeaming, a modular system that allows helicopter crews to operate uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) during flight. The standalone version of the system will be on display at the Paris Air Show.
HTeaming includes a tablet-based control interface, software for UAS management, a modem, and four antennas. It is designed for use by standard helicopter crews and can be integrated into existing mission systems or used independently.
The system was tested in May 2025 with a Spanish Navy H135 helicopter and an Airbus Flexrotor UAS. Additional trials with other aircraft are planned in the coming months.
Victor Gerin Roze, Head of UAS at Airbus Helicopters, said the system is designed to work with different helicopter models and UAS platforms. It is expected to enter service in 2026.
HTeaming builds on previous tests Airbus conducted with the H135, H145, and H130 helicopters, using various UAS to assess interoperability. Alongside the standalone model, Airbus will also introduce integrated versions of the system across its helicopter fleet.
