Air Methods, which operates one of the largest fleets of Airbus helicopters globally, currently uses models such as the H125, H130, H135, and H145. The latest expansion aligns with the company’s plans to enhance its operational capacity.

The H140, a light twin-engine rotorcraft, is expected to enter service in 2028, primarily for emergency medical services. It features a redesigned tail boom for reduced noise, a five-blade bearingless main rotor, and Safran engines. The aircraft also includes a spacious cabin with large sliding doors, improving accessibility for medical teams and equipment.

The H135 and H125 models, widely used in air medical transport, are also part of the agreement. The H135 is recognized for its reliability in emergency medical services, while the H125 is known for its high performance and adaptability in single-engine operations.
