In an exclusive interview with Defensehere.com, Charlie Dean, Vice President of International Business, highlighted two of their advanced unmanned systems: the JUMP 20-X and P550.
The JUMP 20-X is a Group 3 VTOL UAS designed for both land and sea operations. It features a multi-fuel, multi-payload design, and a modular system that supports flexible communications and payload options. With autonomous, hands-free operation, it ensures safety in challenging maritime environments, including rough seas and moving vessels.
The P550 is an autonomous Group 2 eVTOL UAS known for its rapid deployment and battlefield adaptability. With advanced AI, the P550 offers enhanced situational awareness and force protection, along with up to 5 hours of endurance. Its MOSA design allows for easy integration of third-party payloads and quick reconfiguration in the field.
Dean also highlighted that AeroVironment’s solutions are actively used in the UAE and other regional countries, with products deployed in 56 nations worldwide, showcasing the global reach of their unmanned systems.
