The Military Radar and Border Security Summit (MRBS), one of Türkiye’s specialized defense industry events, will take place for the fifth time on October 7-8, 2025, at Hacettepe University’s Beytepe Congress Center. The event is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Turkish Secretariat of Defense Industries (SSB), and hosted by the Ankara branch of MÜSİAD.
Details of the upcoming summit were shared during a press in Ankara.
MÜSİAD Ankara Chairman Fatih Bilal Yülek stated:
“We are proud to have brought an important specialized event like MRBS to Ankara. This year we are holding its fifth edition, which we organize every two years. MRBS serves as a strong platform that brings together local defense industry products with decision-makers and paves the way for cooperation. With its sessions uniting public institutions, the private sector, and academia, MRBS stands out as an important meeting point. This year, we aim to host nearly 100 participating companies and around 1,800 sector professionals in Ankara.”
Yülek also referred to Ankara-based defense firms featured on the Defense News Top 100 list:
“Recently, five Turkish defense companies headquartered in Ankara – ASELSAN, TUSAŞ, ROKETSAN, ASFAT, and MKE – were included in the list. This reflects once again Ankara’s critical position in the sector.”
Around 50 military attachés from various countries are expected to attend. Yülek noted that Türkiye’s defense and aerospace exports rose by 45 percent in the first eight months of 2025 compared to the same period last year, reaching 5.418 billion dollars, and emphasized that MRBS will contribute to maintaining this momentum.
The summit will feature both large defense firms and SMEs. Yülek added:
“Alongside our major defense companies, many SMEs are actively involved in this process. This broad ecosystem strengthens not only our security but also our economic development.”
Key focus areas will include radar systems, electronic warfare, artificial intelligence, domestic software, and communications technologies. Energy efficiency and sustainable production will also be addressed.
Several new products will be introduced at the event. VISCO will showcase domestically developed portable power sources; Odak Ar-Ge will present searchlights and illumination drones for border security; Neta Technologies will display a mobile IoT antenna system based on Phased Array technology; Beyes Teknoloji will unveil a high-speed slipring and tactical signal targeting drone; and Türkport will exhibit surveillance balloons.
Sessions will also cover AI-driven radar solutions, local approaches to cyber threats in border security, and supply chain management.
Exhibitors will include the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of National Defense, as well as leading companies such as TUSAŞ, BMC, HAVELSAN, ROKETSAN, STM, ASFAT, Meteksan Savunma, and others.
