Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar praised Teknofest as a leading platform for innovation during his speech at the “Nuclear Energy: Protecting the Climate, Uniting Nations, Shaping Humanity’s Future” session held within the Russian Energy Week in Moscow.

“There is an innovation platform in Türkiye called Teknofest. It takes place every year,” Bayraktar said. “There are big competitions about R&D projects. Students from universities, academicians and professionals participate. And in the last two years we organized a nuclear technology competition. Every single year it’s growing.”

He added that participants from the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant project were among the competitors this year. “I think they won, because they are quite capable of delivering these projects,” he said.

Teknofest, jointly organized by the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation (T3) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, is one of the world’s largest technology and aerospace festivals, featuring competitions across areas such as aviation, robotics, energy, and nuclear technologies.
