Turkish defense manufacturer MKE has completed the installation of a cartridge assembly line in Mongolia. The facility was inaugurated at a ceremony attended by Türkiye’s Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Mongolia’s Minister of Defense Damda Batlut, and MKE General Manager İlhami Keleş.
Following the ceremony, officials toured the plant, which will produce ammunition in various calibers.
The project marks MKE’s second ammunition assembly line abroad, after a similar installation in Jordan. The company is currently active in establishing cartridge, weapons, and ammunition filling and assembly lines in eight different countries.
By setting up production facilities across multiple regions, MKE is pursuing both industrial cooperation and defense sector partnerships, while also contributing to local production capacities.
