Türkiye selects Marshall Aerospace to maintain newly acquired C-130J fleet

Marshall Aerospace has signed a multi-year contract with the Turkish Ministry of National Defence to provide comprehensive support for Türkiye’s newly acquired fleet of 12 Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules aircraft.

The agreement covers entry-into-service and sustainment activities, including scheduled maintenance, spare parts, tooling, and training designed to help the Turkish Air Force establish its own long-term maintenance capability.

Working alongside the UK Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) Export & Sales division, Marshall served as the principal retail partner for the aircraft resale process and performed ongoing storage and anti-deterioration maintenance at its Cambridge facility in the United Kingdom.

Before the aircraft enter service with the Turkish Air Force, Marshall will complete center wing box replacements on all 12 airframes.

Marshall Aerospace CEO Bob Baxter said, “We are delighted to have signed this contract to keep Türkiye’s new modern, world-class tactical airlift fleet mission-ready and mission-capable. Today's announcement highlights our place in the global C-130 community as a leading provider of through-life fleet support.”

Marshall Aerospace now provides support for eight operators of legacy and C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, including the air forces of Austria and Bangladesh, as well as the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels flight demonstration team.
