Turkey's journey to space started in 1994 with the first successful satellite launch T'RKSAT 1B. Turkey's second satellite T'RKSAT 1C was sent to space and placed in Eastern orbit. In 2001, the T'RKSAT 2A satellite was launched into space.
T'RKSAT 3A communication satellite was launched with Ariane 5 rocket on June 13, 2008 and placed in Eastern orbit. In 2014, T'RKSAT 4A was sent into space with Proton rocket sent into space, and in 2015, 4B was placed into orbit expanding Turkey's satellite communications network.
Today, with a new-generation electric propulsion system, which will be added to the new frequency band coverage zones of T'RKSAT 5A, 5B and the first local and national communications satellite 6A, Turkey's satellite fleet will be expanded more and more.
