The 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) is ongoing at the Istanbul Expo Center, organized under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, with the support of the Presidency of Defence Industries. Managed by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and organized by KFA Fairs, the exhibition continues to draw attention from across the global defense sector.

Among the participating companies is Turaç, one of Türkiye’s leading private-sector ammunition manufacturers. The company is presenting its wide range of light weapons ammunition, including its Sterling, Kaiser, and V-Sport brands, at Booth 3-C05.

In parallel with its product display, Turaç signed a cooperation protocol with Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) during the fair. While the specific terms were not disclosed, the agreement is expected to involve joint efforts in the production and supply of military-grade ammunition. The deal marks a new phase in defense industry collaboration between Türkiye and Pakistan and reinforces Turaç’s growing role in international defense partnerships.

Founded in 1987, Turaç was the first private firm in Türkiye to receive a license for the production of centerfire rifle cartridges. With an annual production capacity exceeding 200 million rounds and exports to 94 countries, the company plays an active role in both the defense and civilian markets.

Turaç’s presence at IDEF reflects its dual focus on domestic and international cooperation, particularly in the context of its recent inclusion in the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) system.
