Developed by Tatra Trucks, the TATRA Force vehicle family stands out as a modular and high-mobility solution for military logistics and specialized missions. Presented under the Czechoslovak Group (CSG) umbrella, the platform combines unconventional engineering with operational versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of defense and support roles.
In an interview with defensehere.com, CSG spokesperson Andrej Čírtek outlined the capabilities of the TATRA Force family, highlighting its compatibility with multiple mission profiles, from logistics support to integration with weapon systems, radars, or air defence modules. The vehicle line is offered in several configurations, including 6x6, 8x8, 10x10, 12x12, and even up to a record 14x14 layout, depending on user requirements.Designed for both domestic and international markets, the TATRA Force range is widely used by armed forces and firefighting units outside Europe. The vehicles are powered by liquid-cooled engines from manufacturers such as Deutz, Cummins, or Caterpillar, and are paired with Twin Disc automatic transmissions built directly into the load-carrying chassis. Steerable axles on the larger variants improve maneuverability, and optional features include central tire inflation and different hub reduction gear options.
This modular platform is engineered to serve as a base for a wide variety of superstructures. Its scalability and technical adaptability allow it to support everything from troop transport to advanced missile or radar systems. The design prioritizes operational flexibility and long-term maintainability in harsh environments.
CSG also underlined its cooperation with Türkiye’s defence sector, noting that TATRA platforms are already in use there and are featured in joint projects abroad, including integrated solutions in Indonesia. For more information and visuals watch the full interview with Andrej Čírtek:
