The construction of SAMI's Land Systems Industrial Complex, one of the key projects of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), is nearing completion.

Located in Al-Kharj, south of Riyadh, the complex spans an area of one million square meters. It is being developed by SAMI, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, and specializes in the manufacturing of armored vehicles, tanks, and artillery systems.

The "Saudi Projects" platform, a media outlet focused on tracking projects within the Kingdom, released a video showcasing the industrial complex, highlighting that the construction has reached advanced stages.

The Saudi defense giant, first announced the Land Systems Industrial Complex during the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) 2023.

This complex, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, aims to localize defense industries and build local capabilities in engineering and designing land systems. It will also focus on system testing, qualification, comprehensive maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) services, and integrated logistics support. These efforts align with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals to develop the defense industry sector.
