Saab announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the PGZ Group, Poland’s largest defense company, during the MSPO defense exhibition in Kielce. The agreement outlines potential collaboration on projects intended to support the security of Poland and Europe.
The MoU confirms the two companies’ interest in exploring cooperation on defense solutions designed for multi-domain operations. Saab and PGZ will also examine opportunities to launch joint initiatives in support of Ukraine, which could include cooperation with the Ukrainian defense industry.
"We are pleased to have signed this agreement today, and look forward to cooperating with the PGZ Group. This is another important milestone in strengthening the collaboration between the Polish and Swedish defence industries. There is great potential for expanding the existing partnership between our nations to ensure security and stability in Europe, including the Baltic Sea region," said Micael Johansson, President and CEO of Saab.
According to the companies, possible areas of cooperation include projects across air, land, and naval platforms. The initiative aims to develop industrial ties that could lead to a strategic partnership and contribute to the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces.
