Rheinmetall AG announced that Dr Ursula Biernert-Kloß, member of the Executive Board and Labour Director, will leave the company on 31 August 2025 following differences of opinion on strategic matters.
Supervisory Board Chairman Ulrich Grillo said, “We would like to thank Dr Biernert-Kloß for her work for the Rheinmetall Group. We wish her all the best for her future, both personally and professionally.”
Until the end of August, CEO Armin Papperger will serve as interim Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Labour Director. Effective 1 September 2025, Dr Vera Saal will join the Management Board in this role.
Dr Saal, 47, is currently Executive Vice President Labour Relations, Long and Short Term Incentives at Rheinmetall. She has been with the company for 15 years in various HR management positions. Before joining Rheinmetall, she worked as a lawyer at a labour law firm and later as a labour lawyer in the human resources department of the Generali Group.
