Mali will host its first defense industry exhibition featuring only Turkish companies this year. The event, Bamako Expo (BAMEX) 2025, is scheduled for November 11–14 at the International Conference Center in Bamako.

According to organizers, around 30 Turkish defense companies including ASELSAN, Baykar, Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi (MKE), Roketsan, STM, and OTOKAR will present their products and services. Exhibitors will showcase a range of defense technologies while exploring new opportunities for cooperation with Mali and other regional partners.

Speaking at a press conference in Bamako, Mali’s Minister of Security and Civil Defense, Major General Daoud Aly Mohammedine, said the event will bring together armed forces, government officials, experts, and industry representatives from across Africa and beyond.

“BAMEX will provide an opportunity to highlight the strategic contributions of our Turkish partners in the field of security and defense, as well as their technological innovations and expertise,” Mohammedine said.

He emphasized Mali’s position in the Sahel and West Africa, describing it as strategically important for international cooperation in security.

“Hosting this exhibition in Mali reflects our country’s role in promoting peace, security, and stability on the continent,” he added. “BAMEX 2025 is not just an exhibition of military technologies, but a tangible expression of Turkey–Africa cooperation. It offers African countries a chance to explore solutions tailored to their needs, enhance operational capacity, and establish lasting partnerships.”

Amadou Degueni, head of the BAMEX National Organization Committee, said the exhibition is intended to become an international meeting point focused on security, resilience, and sovereignty.

“Approximately 30 Turkish defense industry companies will participate,” Degueni noted. “They will present their innovations and expertise to official delegations, defense professionals, and a broad audience of visitors.”

He recalled that a previous demonstration held at the Bamako National Police School in cooperation with Türkiye had been successful, strengthening the idea of organizing a larger-scale event.

The exhibition’s theme will be “Africa at the Center of Global Defense Innovation.” According to Degueni, the initiative marks a new phase in Africa’s efforts to strengthen security resilience and self-determination.

BAMEX will take place under the patronage of the Malian Presidency and the Ministry of Civil Security. The event is being organized by Turkish company Prontaron Defense Industry Organization and Foreign Trade Ltd. (The Peak Defense).

The list of participants includes ASELSAN, Baykar, MKE, Roketsan, STM, OTOKAR, 3E, Kale Kalıp, Sarsılmaz, TİTRA, Akıncılar, ZSR, Atlas Force, Aktaş Silah, ESSAV, Skydagger, and others.
