“Javelin provides a key capability for the United States, allies and partners,” said Ken Bedingfield, President of Aerojet Rocketdyne, L3Harris. “Our ongoing investments in modernized solid rocket motor manufacturing will allow us to increase production capacity for Javelin by incorporating the latest advancements in automation into the motor casting and installation processes.”

The company said it is expanding production capacity across several programs, including Javelin, through internal investments and a $215.6 million cooperative agreement signed with the Department of War.

According to L3Harris, a fully digital workflow is also being implemented for Javelin production, enabling real-time data tracking to strengthen quality control and accelerate manufacturing.

L3Harris remains the sole producer of the Javelin’s solid rocket motors. The Javelin weapon system itself is developed and produced by the joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, serving the U.S. Army, Marine Corps and a range of international customers.
