Kalashnikov missile fired from Strela-10 downs Ukrainian Furia (Video)

The Russian Ministry of Defense has released footage showing a Strela-10 air defense system operated by the “Southern” military group destroying a Ukrainian “Furia” reconnaissance drone with a 9M333 surface-to-air missile.

According to Kalashnikov Group, which manufactures the missile, the 9M333 is designed to engage low-flying aircraft and helicopters under conditions involving optical countermeasures, as well as remotely piloted drones and cruise missiles. The missile operates on a “fire-and-forget” principle, enabling autonomous target engagement after launch.

Kalashnikov specialists stated that the system has been actively used in current military operations. The company also announced plans to increase production of missile and artillery systems by 60 percent compared to 2024.
