IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 continue at full pace, with AED 9.77B in deals over two days

IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 are in full swing, attracting record participation and facilitating major defence sector deals. The second day of the exhibition saw even greater engagement, with more attendees, exhibitors, and high-profile discussions shaping the event’s momentum. With industry leaders, defence officials, and military delegations actively engaging in negotiations, the exhibitions continue to serve as a global hub for cutting-edge defence technologies and strategic partnerships.

Reflecting this heightened activity, the total value of contracts signed over the first two days has reached AED 9.77 billion, following five new agreements worth AED 5.8 billion announced by Tawazun Council. The deals, signed on behalf of the UAE Ministry of Defence and security agencies, highlight the country’s commitment to strengthening its defence capabilities through local and international cooperation.

Major Contracts from Day Two

Local defence deals, totaling AED 5.57 billion, included:

  • Calidus Aerospace (UAE) – AED 3.76 billion for the procurement of HEDA Missile System (Phase 1).
  • International Golden Group (UAE) – AED 492 million for ammunition procurement.
  • DTEC Industries Limited (UAE) – AED 1.38 billion for 50-meter marine traffic boats.

Meanwhile, international contracts valued at AED 213 million featured:

  • MBDA (France) – AED 32 million for spare parts, maintenance, repairs, and technical support for naval equipment.
  • Augusta Westland Aviation Services (Italy) – AED 181 million for technical, engineering, and logistics support, including aircraft spare parts.
IDEX and NAVDEX 2025: A Key Platform for Global Defence Industry

Speaking at the briefing, Majed Ahmed Al Jaberi emphasized that IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 continue to solidify their role as premier defence industry platforms, bringing together 1,565 companies from 65 countries. The exhibitions provide a critical space for defence and aerospace leaders to form partnerships, showcase technological advancements, and address emerging security challenges.

Held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and organized by ADNEC Group in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council, the event will run until February 21, 2025. With growing attendance and continued high-value agreements, further significant announcements are expected in the coming days.
