Hanwha Aerospace announced two major agreements on the second day of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2025 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., marking a significant expansion of its global defense partnerships.

The company signed a co-development and production agreement with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) for the Gray Eagle Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) unmanned aircraft system. The collaboration represents a new step in U.S.–Korea cooperation on next-generation unmanned aerial systems, combining Hanwha’s manufacturing capabilities with GA-ASI’s advanced UAS technology. Hanwha also concluded a three-year framework agreement with Sweden’s Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for the supply of Modular Charge Systems (MCS). The agreement aims to enhance Europe’s ammunition supply resilience and strengthen Hanwha’s role within the Nordic defense industry ecosystem.

According to Hanwha's linkedin post, its booth was among the busiest during the second day of the exhibition, attracting military officials, defense industry representatives and media outlets. The company stated that interest in its growing defense portfolio continues to rise as it showcases new-generation defense systems and builds international partnerships.
