GIRSAN, the Turkish firearms manufacturer gaining momentum on the global stage, will join IDEF 2025 with its full range of pistols and shotguns, including export-dedicated models and systems recently adopted by international forces. The company will exhibit in Hall 3, Booth 3-B07 at the Istanbul Expo Center from July 22 to 27.
With over 30 years in the business, GIRSAN has established itself as a key supplier of semi-automatic pistols and shotguns, offering one of the most diverse portfolios among Turkish manufacturers. All products are designed and produced in-house, covering a wide range of NATO calibers from 9x19mm to .45 ACP and 10mm. Its 12-gauge semi-automatic shotguns also remain in demand for both military and law enforcement markets.
GIRSAN currently exports to more than 55 countries across five continents. While the company maintains a strong domestic presence under the “YAVUZ” label, its international brand identity is firmly positioned under the GIRSAN name—particularly in the United States, where it has achieved major breakthroughs.
A Turkish Pistol in U.S. Special Forces HandsOne of GIRSAN’s most significant achievements to date is the selection of its MC P35 pistol by the U.S. Special Forces for operational use. The model, already known in the civilian market for its performance and ergonomics, was procured through Picatinny Arsenal following a formal evaluation process.
The same pistol had previously gained recognition as “Handgun of the Year 2024” by the National Rifle Association and became the first Turkish-made firearm to appear on the cover of American Rifleman. Its adoption by U.S. military units marks a rare and noteworthy milestone for a non-NATO-standard producer, positioning GIRSAN as a trusted name even among the most demanding users. Future-Focused: New Platforms and Capabilities AheadWhile GIRSAN continues to grow its core small arms business, the company is preparing to enter new segments including rifle-caliber platforms, sniper systems, and defense-grade component manufacturing for aerospace and military customers. These efforts reflect GIRSAN’s long-term strategy to diversify and scale beyond its pistol heritage.
IDEF as a Global GatewayIDEF 2025 remains one of the key international defense exhibitions for industry networking, procurement, and platform showcasing. With more than 1,400 companies from around the world expected to attend, the event offers a strategic opportunity for GIRSAN to strengthen existing partnerships and engage new clients across NATO, MENA, and Asia-Pacific markets.
As the company continues to scale its export footprint, its presence at IDEF 2025 will serve as a critical waypoint in GIRSAN’s evolution from a regional firearms manufacturer to a global defense supplier.
