General Atomics (GA) has announced the launch of its new software enterprise, Quadratix, consolidating its software initiatives across various business divisions into a single integrated technology platform. This move aims to enhance all-domain operational capabilities and information dominance.

Quadratix will unify GA’s extensive software workforce and technology solutions under one framework, incorporating advancements in:

Autonomy, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML)

Airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR)

Land-based advanced sensing

Sea-based threat detection

Space-based missions and satellite operations

Cyber exploitation

Unified data fusion and visualization

The integration is designed to promote interoperability across GA’s entire product portfolio, enabling customers to leverage the company’s expertise in a more streamlined and efficient manner.

As one of the world’s largest privately held defense companies, General Atomics has long been a key player in aerospace and defense technology. The company employs over 1,000 software engineers, programmers, and related experts. Quadratix merges software capabilities from GA’s various subsidiaries, including General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS), General Atomics Integrated Intelligence, Inc. (GA-III), and other affiliated divisions.

This consolidation brings significant benefits for both existing and future GA customers. For example, GA-ASI’s Predator® series of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and its next-generation autonomous jets will now have enhanced capabilities through increased collaboration on AI, ML, and autonomy development across GA’s divisions.

“We’ve moved beyond isolated software development to an integrated suite of software solutions for our platforms and customers,” said GA-ASI CEO Linden Blue. “Quadratix allows us to accelerate innovation and address our customers’ most pressing challenges with a unified software approach.”

GA’s advanced technologies continue to shape military operations worldwide, offering solutions in data processing, real-time situational awareness, and intelligence dissemination. The Quadratix network integrates GA’s diverse range of systems and subsystems, enabling efficient command, control, collection, and communication of critical intelligence.

“Quadratix is built on our proven network of integrated systems, delivering end-to-end solutions for information dominance,” Blue added.
