Gaza's death toll reaches 50,700 amid ongoing Israeli attacks

The death toll in Gaza since October 2023 has surpassed 50,700 due to continuous Israeli airstrikes, with another 57 Palestinians confirmed dead in the latest attack. The Health Ministry reported that the total number of injuries has reached 115,475, with 137 people wounded in the past 24 hours alone. Many casualties remain trapped under debris or stranded on the roads, as rescue efforts are hindered by the ongoing violence.

The Israeli aerial campaign, which began on March 18, has continued to escalate, causing widespread destruction in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military’s actions have been criticized for breaching a ceasefire agreement and are subject to scrutiny in multiple international courts.

A case for genocide has been filed against Israel at the International Court of Justice, while the International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, for alleged war crimes.
