The final vehicles in the first batch of Jackal 3 high mobility transporters for the British Army have completed assembly at Babcock’s Devonport facility. Built in partnership with Supacat, these units are set for delivery later this year.

The Jackal 3, developed by Supacat, offers improved crew protection, increased payload capacity, and enhanced off-road performance compared to its predecessor, the Jackal 2. While procured as a 4×4, it can be adapted into a six-wheeled configuration to more than double its load-carrying capability.

Production of the initial 70 vehicles began in early 2024, with 62 built at Babcock’s dedicated facility and eight at Supacat’s Dunkeswell site. The programme, part of the UK’s Land Industrial Strategy, sources most of its supply chain domestically.
