Northrop Grumman expands ground systems capability with new facility

Northrop Grumman has inaugurated a new 100,000-square-foot integration facility in Englewood, Colorado, expanding its manufacturing footprint to support the growing demand for advanced space ground systems. Known as the Highfield Integration Facility, the site is designed to enhance the company’s capacity to deliver cutting-edge fixed and mobile ground systems that provide mission-critical data to U.S. and allied forces.

These tactical ground systems are essential for operations in contested or remote environments, where connectivity may be limited but the need for timely and resilient information remains critical. The systems developed at the new site will support a wide range of national security missions, including space surveillance, missile warning and defense, satellite operations, and real-time data processing.

“The Highfield Integration Facility adds to our existing one million square feet of infrastructure in Colorado and enables us to deliver advanced ground systems at scale,” said Murali Krishnan, vice president of payload and ground systems at Northrop Grumman. “It’s another example of how we are expanding across the U.S. to bring innovation forward at the pace our customers demand.”

The new facility reflects Northrop Grumman’s continued investment in infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the Department of Defense and the intelligence community, aiming to deliver data anytime, anywhere, and under any mission condition.
