During the FAMEX 2025 airshow, Embraer announced it signed an affiliation agreement with the Mexican Federation of Aerospace Industry (FEMIA). The company stated the move aims to strengthen its presence in Mexico, increase collaboration with the local aeronautical industry, and promote new business opportunities.
Luis Lizcano, President of FEMIA, said: “FEMIA is very proud to celebrate the formalization of Embraer as a new member of our organization. Embraer is one of the most important manufacturers in the aerospace sector in the world, both in civil and defense matters, and participating as a member of FEMIA opens up important opportunities for collaboration in the development of this company in our country.”
Fabio Caparica, Embraer’s Vice President of Defense and Security Contracts, added: “It is with great satisfaction that we sign Embraer’s affiliation with FEMIA during FAMEX 2025. This is an important milestone that represents another significant step in the strategic cooperation between Embraer and the Mexican aeronautical industry.”
Embraer noted it has operated in Mexico for over 40 years and currently has more than 100 aircraft in service there across commercial, executive, and defense sectors.
