Calian Group’s UK subsidiary, Calian UK, has secured a 15-year agreement with Raytheon UK to support the British Army’s Collective Training Service program, with contracted base revenue of approximately CAD$296 million (£159 million) over the term, the Canadian company said.
The agreement is part of Omnia Training, a Raytheon UK-led consortium, and is scheduled to begin in October 2026 following the conclusion of the current Project NUMIDIAN contract.
Calian said the agreement extends one of its largest defense training programs and strengthens its position in supporting military readiness in the UK and Europe.
Under the agreement, Calian UK will support the British Army’s collective training through specialist training services and capabilities designed to prepare soldiers and commanders for complex operational environments.
Digital and synthetic training
Calian’s work under the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS) builds on its existing support to the UK Ministry of Defence and British Army through Project NUMIDIAN.
The company said it has provided specialized collective training services under NUMIDIAN designed to expose British Army personnel to contemporary and challenging threats and improve operational readiness.
Through ACTS, Calian will continue delivering specialist collective training services while supporting the modernization of British Army training through digital, synthetic and integrated training capabilities.
Collective training brings soldiers, commanders and allied forces together in realistic operational environments to improve coordination, interoperability and mission effectiveness before deployment.
James Gray, managing director and chief executive of Raytheon UK, said the Omnia Training consortium combines organizations with expertise in military training and simulation. He said the consortium’s UK-based personnel would provide soldiers and commanders with a new level of training realism.
Calian President of Defence and Space Chris Pogue said the agreement would allow the company to continue supporting the British Army alongside Raytheon UK and other Omnia Training partners.
Calian said the agreement further strengthens its international defense business and its role in supporting allied operational readiness across the UK, Europe and NATO.
The company said its work draws on experience in collective training, simulation, systems engineering and interoperability to help military organizations prepare personnel and coalition partners to operate in increasingly complex, multi-domain environments.
