EMN Defence was among the Turkish companies exhibiting at Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX) 2025, held 1–4 December in the Egyptian capital. The event, supported by Egypt’s Ministry of Defense and Military Production, brought together more than 350 companies from 38 countries, with Türkiye fielding the largest national participation — nearly 80 firms.
EMN Defence drew attention with its portfolio of high-performance industrial and energy chemicals designed to meet global standards for compliance, safety and innovation. Company representatives highlighted their strategy of building long-term partnerships with manufacturers, governments and industrial clients worldwide.
Speaking to Defensehere, EMN Defence’s Director of International Relations, Nurlana Ahmedova, said the company has been active in the defence sector since 2021, focusing on the procurement and trade of military products.
“Our supply and trade activities are centered on military systems. We provide UAVs, electronics, ballistic materials and a wide range of military products to countries around the world,” she said.
Ahmedova emphasized that the company mainly works with partners in Asia, Europe and the Americas, adding that EMN Defence’s flagship product, nitrocellulose, currently leads the global market.
“At the moment, we are the only company supplying this product at scale,” she noted.
She confirmed that EMN Defence holds all necessary state approvals and export licenses for nitrocellulose. Looking ahead, she said the company aims to move from supply to full in-house production.
“Our plans focus on launching manufacturing. We are currently supplying the market, but we intend to establish a production facility within the next five years,” Ahmedova added.
EDEX 2025 showcased the latest land, naval and air defence technologies, serving as a platform for new regional and international partnerships. EMN Defence’s participation underscored Türkiye’s expanding defence-industry footprint and its growing interest in African and Middle Eastern markets.
