The International Defence and Security Equipment Exhibition (DSEI), one of the world’s largest defence industry events, is underway in London with more than 1,700 companies from 58 countries participating. The exhibition at the ExCeL centre runs until 12 September and is expected to draw around 50,000 visitors.
Here are the main highlights:
Rheinmetall: UK Industrial Expansion and Partnerships
Rheinmetall presented new developments in the United Kingdom, including its partnership with Lockheed Martin on the Fuchs JAGM combat vehicle, armed with vertical-launch missile systems. Progress was also reported on the British Army’s Boxer programme, with the first UK-built vehicle delivered and integration of Javelin missiles continuing. Rheinmetall further confirmed Telford as the location of the UK Gun Hall, a facility to produce large-calibre barrels for platforms such as Challenger 3 and future artillery.
Patria: New Tracked Vehicle
Finland’s Patria unveiled the TRACKX all-terrain tracked vehicle, developed under the European Defence Fund’s FAMOUS programme. The platform is designed for operations across varied environments and can carry 12 soldiers with full equipment. Serial production is planned for 2027.
Roketsan: Missiles and Directed Energy Systems
Türkiye’s Roketsan is exhibiting a wide portfolio at DSEI 2025, including UAV munitions, cruise missiles and air defence systems. Among the systems on display are the MAM series, UAV-230 supersonic missile, KARAOK and OMTAS anti-tank missiles, ÇAKIR cruise missile, SUNGUR and HİSAR-O RF air defence systems, and the SİPER long-range system. Roketsan is also presenting artillery rockets, precision guidance kits and the ALKA directed energy weapon.
ASELSAN: KORKUT 100/25 Makes International Debut
ASELSAN introduced the KORKUT 100/25 air defence system to an international audience for the first time at DSEI 2025. The system, integrated with the 25 mm ATOM Smart Munition, is designed to counter mini and micro UAV threats both functionally and physically, using data received from external sensors.
Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems: Autonomous Air Systems
Lockheed Martin’s Skunk Works and BAE Systems’ FalconWorks announced a collaboration to develop modular, uncrewed autonomous air systems. The effort will initially focus on an electronic warfare and attack platform, with options for deployment by air, ground and maritime means.
IDV: Crewed and Uncrewed Platforms
IDV is displaying its Military Utility Vehicle (MUV), Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV) and the VIKING 6×6 uncrewed ground vehicle, along with its heavy-duty truck range. The company is highlighting its investment in autonomy, with its MACE control system tested in multinational exercises.
General Dynamics Land Systems: Ajax Blackjax Demonstrator
General Dynamics presented the Ajax Blackjax technology demonstrator, a tracked vehicle concept incorporating integrated protection systems and a turret capable of elevating to 85 degrees. The design enables both conventional combat and short-range air defence roles through an iterative development process.
