Al-Qiffaf Scientific Company, specializing in medical and laboratory equipment, as well as comprehensive security solutions, participated in the 13th edition of the International Defense and Security Exhibition (IQDEX 2025), held in Baghdad, Iraq. The company showcased its latest technological advancements in the fields of security, defense, and laboratory analysis.
Founded as a scientific office in 1991 and officially registered in 2000, Al-Qiffaf Scientific Company has grown into a prominent player in Iraq's scientific and security sectors.
In an interview with Defensehere.com, Murtadha Al-Awady, Director of Security Solutions and Forensic Analysis at Al-Qiffaf, explained that the company operates in multiple sectors, including medical, laboratory, quality control, material testing, security, and forensic analysis.
At IQDEX 2025, the company highlighted its security and forensic solutions division, featuring products such as VisionX, a device used by criminal experts for comparing bullet cartridges from firearms.
Al-Awady revealed that the Iraqi Ministry of Interior’s forensic department received two units of VisionX, while the Ministry of Defense was provided with one unit.
In addition to VisionX, the company presented the Spectra Pro device, for examining and authenticating official documents such as passports, identity cards, legal and security documents, counterfeit currency, and checks.
Al-Awady also noted that Al-Qiffaf collaborates with partners from Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Turkey to enhance its product offerings and expand its international reach.
